Christmas is nearing and that the holiday season is finally here! It’s the perfect time to sit around a fireplace, in cozy pajamas and watch Christmas movies with your families. From ever-lasting classics to new animations, here is a whole list of Christmas movie musts!

1. Home Alone - 1990

8-year-old Kevin McCallister is left behind when his entire family leaves for Paris. He then assumes his wish to have no family comes true, and he is excited about his newfound freedom and having the house all to himself. However, he realizes quickly that two con men are plotting to rob the McCallister residence, and Kevin takes it upon himself to protect the house. 2. The Santa Clause - 1994

Directed by John Pasquin, the movie revolves around Scott, a divorced dad who has custody of his son on Christmas Eve. After he accidentally kills a man in a Santa suit, they are magically transported to the North Pole, where an elf explains that Scott must take Santa’s place before the next Christmas. 3. How the Grinch Stole Christmas - 2000

An all-time favorite, watch as Jim Carrey plays the Grinch, a Christmas hater living in the cheery town of Whoville. This live-action adaption of the children’s tale by Dr. Seuss, directed by Ron Howard, depicts an isolated green Grinch who decides to devise a plan to ruin Christmas for the merry citizens of Whoville. 4. Arthur Christmas - 2011

We all know that Santa delivers presents to all children on planet Earth. However, he has a high-tech, extremely skilled team supporting him in his operation. Directed by Sarah Smith, watch this animated film as Santa’s youngest son, Arthur, races to deliver a present to the forgotten child before Christmas morning dawns. 5. A Boy Called Christmas - 2021

In a much more recent movie, directed by Gil Kenan, a young boy named Nikolas ventured into the snowy north to look for his father. His father is on a quest to discover the fabled village of the elves, Elfhelm. Watch on Netflix today as Nikolas and his reindeer, Blitzen, meet their destiny.
